Our
service of translation and communication
of bookings works like this:

You
click on an island and select a hotel
or B&B
-
You
fill a form in English.
-
Your
inquiry is translated into Portuguese
and sent to the receptionist
-
You
will get a reply in English.
And
there are normally two steps:
to follow:
-
First: You
ask for a Quotation (information
on availability and price).
This allows the receptionist to apply discounts
according to season, lenght
of stay or specific individual needs mentioned
by you.

Second:
You ask for Firm Reservation.
Prices are
in CVE - (Cape Verde Escudos)
We apply the official exchange
rate of 1
EUR = 110 CVE.
In
most accommodations,
breakfast is included in the price.
Where it is not, this is not the worst of compromises because guests
order a la carte and get what they prefer.

Types
of accommodation in Cape Verde
In
the last few years, facilites have developed
quickly and today they offer a wide range
of quality.
Rooms
in private households continue
to be the standard for mountaineers in
remote areas.
Most of them offer a shared
shower / WC exclusively for the guests.
Residencial means
B&B, Bed and Breakfast or guesthouse
and starts at the lowest level with simple
rooms, shared toilet in historical houses.
But most residenciais
today are modern, hotel-like facilities
with private shower / WC, some with the
complete set of equipment of standard-hotels
like private bathroom, Phone, TV, frigobar,
air-condition and some with free W-LAN
access to the internet.
Only very
few in remote areas still have
shared
shower
/WC.
While
in cities they give only breakfast, in
remote areas halfboard
on appointment is the usual format, especially
where there is no restaurant near by.
Pousada is
another word for guesthouse and they do
not differ much from residenciais.
Hotels cover
the whole range from simple and old
to brandnew and highly sofisticated.
Club-Hotels
with all-inclusive servies are
not listed here.
