Wheelchair - Project - Santo Antão - CAPE VERDE

In 1998 Rª Grande was confronted with the problem that most wheelchairs were rotten and new ones were far out of  reach of families and the Social Services. 

In 1999 TTM Technologie Transfer Marburg sent 14  perfectly re-built Wheelchairs, every one with a Spare Parts Kit, to Rª Grande und Paúl county.

The City of Mörfelden-Walldorf  covered the expenses within their budget for municipal international co-operation.

On the Day of the Handicapped the wheelchairs were handed over by maior Jorge Santos and the incharge of the Social Services, Joana Caçilda Lima to the beneficiaries.

In 2002 we repeated this action with 14 chairs for Sao Vicente and 6 for Sao Nicolau, the latter coming from Jean Francois Poirret and his friends.
