physician and author Henrique
Teixeira de Sousa.
It is part of a trilogy taking up the theme of sucessfull
migrants coming back to their island of origin and
the tremendous social and ideological change introduced
by them. In a whole, Teixeira de Sousa's novels
describe the development of social change in the
times
from abolition
of slavery into post-independence times.
It is a thrill to read the stories right in the place where
they have taken place.
