do Sol, district capital and the
only harbour of Santo Antão in
the 19th century, stretches out on
a peninsula comforted by the sun. In
modern times, the harbour is only used
by fisher boats and the historical
center becomes home to a slowly increasing
number of hikers and tourists.

famous hiking trail 212 via Fontainhas to Cruzinha
da Garça starts from here.
