If ever you spent half an hour of reading a guide-book on Fogo, you must know Renate. She arrived on the island a few years ago and runs "le Bistro", where her guests have breakfast in the morning. Later the day it transforms into a restaurant, tea-house, snack bar, travel agency, tourist information, meetingpoint for island-hoppers while for a few days on the island.

After renovation, one of the typcial mansions called "sobrado" transformed into this old-fashioned B&B.

Rooms are spacy and well-equiped, despite not specifically built for the purpose. Every one has a private shower /WC and access to a fridge.

The house is located in the second row from the precipice over the sea, guaranteeing a unique panorama-view over the sea, the deserted islands and the island of Brava.

There is a shade inner court where guests like to relax.

As Renate runs her own little travel-agency she is happy to help you to organize your excursions by taxi or with a rented car - including the adventure of climbing the "pico" of the volcano.
