"SóNaFish" makes it possible to arrive in the afternoon and continue in the early morning to Mocho (Track 213), Ponta do Sol (Track 212), Figueiras (Track 215) or Espadaná (Track 210).

Tarrafal de Monte Trigo
ar away from the beaten tracks of tourism at a gigantic black beach. The huge valley offers space for longer walks over several days. So this is the right place where to plan for a longer rest on a long-distance trail.
A little Warning for snobs:
Who can't survive without his Daily Mirror, italian ice-cream, german beer and senegalese petty-traders will not be happy in Tarrafal.
Here you find nothing but a fascinating nature and a traditional village of friendly Cape Verdeans.
Low-price transport is on an open pickup over a more than rough road for 2-3 hours. Who likes it somewhat more comfortable, may rent the entire bush-taxi and be sure to get a place in the cabine. Even better ist a 4x4 Taxi that can be booked from Porto Novo.

Susi und Frank, an american/ german couple finished their sailing trip around the world in the remote bay of Tarrafal, built seven thachroofed bungalows close to the shore, private shower / WC, great breakfast and supper on appointment.

For the ones in love the sea, this is a wonderful place to dive, to swim, to snorkel, to go out by boat and to watch nature for hours and days. For hikers, coming over the rouged desert mountains it's the best place to recover.
